It’s nice to share your thoughts..it’s like you don’t feel so alone. Even when no one reads it
I guess it has the same therapeutic effect as an actual diary on paper. I found it to be very relievable to write during the period that my father was sick. Trusting your thoughts to paper shushes your mind. I found myself less thinking at night in bed, causing insomnia, when I wrote down what was going on in my mind. The anger and fear just after we heard of my fathers disease. The period after that being sad and scared that he would be gone the next day.
I often found myself being in a dialogue with myself, discussing my own feelings about the whole situation. Writing it down helped me in some kind of way.
