One last post before we fly to Crete tomorrow :)
Our happy, sleepy cat :)
Tigger with cap

Yaj!

I picked up Tigger this morning from the clinic. He is doing really well :) He has spent two nights over there and is back into his eating habits. So tomorrow Croga and I can go on holiday :) My sister will take care of Tigger and keeps in touch with the clinic so if anything comes up out of the ordinary, they can monitor him. But as things look now, everything is going to be okay with our little animal :D I am so relieved!

So tomorrow we fly to Crete :) here to be precise :) Now, how does that look?

We will be back the 4th of September.

Animal drama? part 3

Okay, all seemed to go well with Tigger after his surgery las thursday. Friday he was normal Tigger, eating, sleeping and coming by for a lot of cuddles. But since saturday he wasn’t eating or drinking anymore. That worried me. I managed to give him some water but he was miserable. He was just lying there, doing nothing.

Animal drama? part 2

To our great relieve the surgery on Tigger went really well today. I picked him up at 1.20 PM and he was still a little dizzy. They implanted a catheter so his bladder gets some rest. This monday I have to consult the specialist again to decide wether to let it be taken out monday or tuesday morning. He also has a cap round his head that has the form of a lamp cap so he cannot reach his behind and take the catheter out himself or lick his wound frequently, that’s no good for the healing process. He is really confused about that cap and bumps into everything. He is still a little dizzy but is walking around the living room like a lunatic trying to get that cap off. He is finally calming somewhat down after half an hour of walking around. I hope he gets used to the cap since he has to wear that thing for the next 2 weeks. And than we can take it off by only some minutes per day, longer everyday to let him get used to not wearing it, I guess.
I am feeling sorry for the poor thing. It’s all confused and his coordination isn’t yet what’s it supposed to be due to the narcosis he had for the surgery.
As far as we can see now, everything is going to be alright with him. Luckily, I am really attached to that cat :)

Animal drama?

Today I went to the vet with our cat Tigger. He has been, well not really ill but not normal either for some time now. And after some medications, diet and all kinds of medical investigations the solution was no where to be found yet. So my own vet sent me to a specialist who is specialized in animal urology which is an hour drive from here.
So I took the day off, Croga arranged to be working from home so I could take the car and I went this morning around 9.30 AM.
I arrived in time and after waiting for about 20 minutes until it was my turn, we were called in (me and Tigger that is).
