So we came home this morning around 11.30 dutch time. It feels really good being back Especially with the weather being as nice as it is! (sunny, around 21 degrees celsius)
Yesterday we drove south from Whitebridge, Scotland (east of Loch Ness) to Newcastle upon Tyne, England (somewhere around 300 miles) to catch the boat back to The Netherlands. And the weather was, well putting it mildly, horrible.

We had a great vacation though! Nice weather the first 11 days or so, it was only last friday that the rain came, so no complains there I will add a page with a holiday journal and lots of pictures on it about our vacation in the next week or something. Where we went and that sort of thing.
To give you a little taste of things, this is the holiday park we were staying for 10 nights.

For now, it’s suffice to say we had a great vacation. For everyone who hasn’t been to Scotland, I can recommend it very much! The country is beautiful, the Scots are very friendly and the hospitality is great. Especially the Highlands are great, very tranquil. I love the scenery.

Yeah, really a medicine for the soul

Okay, so we had a mp3 player from Samsung. And since Croga has a car that has a aux port on the radio, he thought to put music on that thing to connect in the car for our vacation to Scotland next week. Well, the samsung is no more. The d*mn thing appeared to be broken beyond repair. Croga called me at work tuesday morning and asked me how serious I was about wanting an Ipod Touch I have been talking about that thing ever since a colleague of mine brought his last summer). Pretty serious, of course So he ordered an Ipod Touch and the thing was delivered the next day.

It’s great! The screen is pretty nifty, the navigation is great. I was as happy as a kid the night before Christmas

And then I had to put my Harry Potter audiobooks (all seven) on the d*mn thing…Boy, is that more difficult than I thought. After roaming the net looking for a how-to articles on doing this, I tried a couple of things that did not work, I finally found one that did! And now my audiobooks appear in the audiobooks section on my Ipod, as they are supposed to. The tags are kept and it remembers were I left of listening last time.

Asides from listening to music (cause that’s what you do on an Ipod, isn’t it? ) I now listen to audiobooks as well. But also surfing the internet, read my email, watch some youtube movies (you’ll need a wifi in the neighborhood to log on to), keep track of my appointments is the calendar and save a list of contacts. Do almost everything besides actually making a phone call (cause then you would be needing an Iphone ) And all I can say is, it’s an easy to use, awesome thing! Definitively one thing you need in your collection of gadgets

So, I wondered about the Warrior of Light quote on the right here. I take those out of the book, of course and put a new one in the widget now and then. And now I suddenly wondered about this one.

No one is stupid? I doubt that…I see some people around me that seem to be. And then again, we can’t all be on the same level, can we? So what, if you can’t comprehend my way of thinking? Does that make you less a person than me? Does that put you lower on the ladder?

Croga went to work again tuesday, after being home for several weeks suffering from Bell’s Palsy. He is not completely recovered but he isn’t as tired anymore and he can eat and drink close to normal again. I think it’s good to get back in his normal daily routine again. I can tell he himself is comfortable with it, as he is not frustrated anymore and much more pleasant company then the last couple of weeks. So, yeah, things are almost back to normal.

My job is going steady, although there are some glitched here and there (mostly due to the fact we are one fulltimer short) I feel comfortable here. As long as I can keep some distance between me and those glitches and am able to look at it and think my own of it all, I am okay

And the countdown has started! We go on holiday to Scotland the 15th of April, so 12 more days, 6 more days of work, before we leave! And we are all very much looking forward to it!
